We are very fortunate to have three student interns working with us this summer – Carlos Armstrong, Mary Madison Baker, and Alexander Metz. During the month of June, they have been building the Knowledge Base section of our website.
Writing clearly and well about topics like the neurological underpinning of pain can be challenging. We began our push by bringing in Wendy Darling, a communication specialist in health science communications from Emory University. The two day workshop focused on how to write clearly and succinctly without sacrificing accuracy.
Wendy has written about chronic pain as a communications specialist at Emory. She was also one of five participants in a round-table discussion of migraines from the patient’s perspective.
